Art Appraisals

Art Appraisal Services are the cornerstone of our offerings. As a member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), I am a qualified personal property appraiser. I am certified to appraise a wide range of personal assets—excluding real estate—including fine art, jewelry, antiques, decorative objects, historical artifacts, and household contents. While art is typically the highest-value asset we appraise, our services also cover the valuation of various other personal property categories. I provide formal appraisal reports that comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

USPAP-compliant appraisal reports are widely recognized and accepted by government agencies, major insurance companies, museums, art institutions, galleries, and auction houses across the U.S., Canada, and many other countries.

These reports are commonly used for:

  • Equitable distribution in cases of divorce, partnership dissolution, or inheritance settlements
  • Claiming tax credits from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for non-cash donations to qualified non-profit organizations
  • Securing insurance coverage or filing insurance claims for damaged properties
  • Estate planning or probate for estate tax filings, equitable distribution among heirs, or legal compliance
  • Buying or selling personal property, where an appraisal helps establish fair market value and supports price negotiations, or when using such property as collateral for financing
  • Testifying in court during legal proceedings related to the valuation of personal assets

For practical use cases, please refer to the U.S. and Canadian appraisal pages respectively.
